Commonly Asked Questions of Seniors

When is graduation?

The class of 2020's graduation will be held on Saturday evening, May 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium where it is weather proof and air conditioned.

When do we order our senior caps and gowns?

Cap and gown orders will be taken November 19th and 20th in the cafeteria during all lunch periods.  Your student will be given a packet on November 12th, please be sure to ask them about it that day.  If you do not see one, we will have extras in the main office for you.  You may purchase announcements at that time as well.

How much do tickets for graduation cost?

All people need to have a ticket to enter, even children.  Tickets are free for graduation and each student will receive 4 tickets at graduation practice.

Cume Laude Requirements:  Students must verify their status with their counselor.  Meet/exceed the testing requirements for college & career readiness.  Participate in 2 seasons of sports, clubs, or activities during high school.  Complete 20 hours of community service by the end of senior year.  Earn at least 260 credits.  Earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher.  Be a good citizen-no suspensions or code of conduct violations.  Attain a 95% attendance rate for junior & senior years.  Complete 2 Advanced Placement or capstone courses.

When is graduation practice?

Graduation practice is Friday, May 15th at 9:00 a.m. and all seniors must be in attendance.  Please plan on staying for up to three hours.

What if we need a couple extra tickets for extra adult family members?

Your student just needs to ask an administrator after graduation practice is over.  Tickets will be distributed equally until all have been given out.

When is Prom?

Prom is Saturday, April 25th, 2020  Students must have 90% attendance to purchase tickets.

Please Note:  In order to participate in the graduation ceremony:

ALL registration fees, lunch accounts, books and or fines must be paid in full by April 1, 2020.

(Early graduates fees must be all taken care of by December 2, 2019)
