Message to Dean Street Families

  • Dean Street families,

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself, Ryan Doyle, as the new Principal of Dean Street Elementary School. Dean Street’s reputation of having a Photo of the Doyle Family family-like culture and whole student focus is what I am excited to be a part of, and will continue to foster. A little about me personally; after marrying my wife 7 years ago (who coincidentally has the same name as me, Ryane) we moved to Woodstock and since then, made it our home. We have two very energetic boys who keep us on our toes, 3 year old Brantley and 1 year old Easton. I started my educational career 8 years ago as a middle school math teacher at Hannah Beardsley in Crystal Lake. For the last 2 years, I have served as the assistant principal of Village Elementary School in Round Lake.

Throughout my experiences, I have focused on supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. At Dean Street, my goal is to empower both teachers and students to reach their full potential. My first step as the new principal is to build meaningful relationships with the staff, students, parents, and the community. To accomplish this, it will be imperative for me to be in the hallways, the classrooms, on the playground, and to fully immerse myself in the community. Students will receive rigorous instruction and be provided with many opportunities to grow and persevere! Here at Dean Street, the lines of communication will be open for me to highlight all of the wonderful things our students are accomplishing.

I also want to take time to invite you to our school!  The more you are a part of our educational learning experience, the better your child’s experience.  So, please visit!  Attend after school activities, be a member of our PTO, volunteer in the classroom, and ask questions about your child’s learning experiences.  We want you to feel like you are a part of our family.

My promise to you is that I will help support your child in a year full of engaging and meaningful work, and most importantly, that your child will love learning.  I hope to continue to help Dean Street be a place where children and families feel an atmosphere of curiosity, interactions, stimulation, and fun.

Here’s to a great new year! Go Dragons!

    Ryan Doyle
