Kindergarten registration information for the 2021-22 school year will be posted on this page as soon as available.To be eligible to attend Kindergarten during the 2021-22 school year, children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2021.Parents who are interested in the Kindergarten Dual Language program must attend an informational meeting to learn about the available class options. Presentations will be conducted in English and Spanish on February 18 at 6:00 p.m. via Google Meets. Meeting links will be posted here prior to Feb. 18.All additional information about kindergarten registration and any virtual meetings/links will be shared on this page. Welcome to Kindergarten
Kindergarten in District 200 is a full-day program, held at the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center, 2045 N. Seminary Avenue.
Kindergarten classes meet from 8:30 a.m. until 2:55 p.m. daily.

During the summer months and other school break times, when Verda Dierzen is closed, contact the District 200 Administrative office for assistance at 815-338-8200.
To be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2021-22 school year:
- Children must be five years old on or before September 1, 2021.
- State law requires an original or certified copy of the birth certificate at the time of registration; your child will not be registered without one. Hospital certificates are not acceptable.
- Parents must also provide proof of residency in order to register their child.

- An original or certified copy of a birth certificate; your child will not be registered without one. Hospital certificates are not acceptable.

IMPORTANT – please note:
If you are not able to finish your registration in one session, please be sure to save your work. In the registration system, you will see a blue circle at the upper right hand corner of the page. Click on the circle and you will see an option to “Save & Sign Out.” Be sure to click Save & Sign Out to save your work so you can return and finish in another session. When your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.
Dual Language Kindergarten Registration

Parents of students selected for the Dual Language Program will be notified at the end of March. If there are more applications than spaces available in the Dual Language Kindergarten program, a lottery will be held to choose student participants.
